Introduction to End of Period Processing
The delivery end of period processing consolidates all statistical data. It clears the application of deleted, acknowledged and printed messages. The delivery end of period processing is independent of the Temenos Transact close of business (COB) and is run whenever required by the user.
It is suggested to run the processing weekly. However, it is up to the user to decide when they find it best to run and how often to process.
Running the delivery end of period removes the messages, for which processing is complete and places them in the HISTORY tables. Therefore, regular running of end of period keeps the LIVE tables in a reasonable size and therefore improves the processing time within delivery.
